Montevideo has five particularly attractive beaches. Ramírez beach is an interesting place to enjoy at sunset, as it has a privileged location right in front of Rodó Park. Pocitos beach is without doubt the most popular, it combines the peace that the family can enjoy and sports on the sand. After this is Buceo beach whose sandy surface tends to be the most popular in summer. This is followed by Malvín beach, another one where a lot of people gather, particularly the youth. Finally is Carrasco beach, the most extensive in the city and has the attraction of being the coast of one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Montevideo.

Parque Rodó
It is the most popular urban park in Montevideo. There are many reasons to visit it. It has two amusement parks, one for young people – located in front of Ramírez beach- and another for children – that borders Bulevar Artigas. It also has a lake with a path to walk around it and a castle that operates as a public library. In addition, on Sundays it has one of the most visited street markets in the city.
Mercado del Puerto
If you are looking to acquire a complete panorama of the Uruguayan parrilla (barbecue), Mercardo del Puerto is the perfect place. This large gastronomic center is located in front of Montevideo port. It has an extensive variety of barbecues that offer the most characteristic products of the country. In addition, it is the birth place of Medio y Medio (half and half) a sparkling drink that has become a tradition in this place.
